In order to meet HIBS's motto, Today's Student, Tomorrow's Scientist, students must first learn how to use the tools that can help them become the scientists of tomorrow.  At HIBS, we will provide these tools to help students fulfill their goals.  Innovation and technology are key to any success.

In addition to any Microsoft-based software and Windows, students at HIBS will be given the opportunity to learn and use open source technology.  Our goal is to install Ubuntu Linux on all of our school desktops and laptops.  Parents, teachers, and students will use open source software daily with Moodle, our learning management system, and with other open source software such as LibreOffice, TuxPaint, TuxType and The Gimp.

We hope to give our students the technical know how to make them more competitive in all of their future endeavors.
