On May 6th, Sunday evening students and parents of HIBS gathered at City Opera House for the 6th Graduation Ceremony of HIBS
The principal of HIBS, Mr Osman Gul granted Graduation Certificates to KG, Grade 5, 9 and 12 students. The Best Students of the 2011 -12 Academic Year were also honored with certificates and special gifts by Mr Osman Gul.
The ceremony included remarks by Mr. Le Hong Son, Director of Department of Education. Wonderful vocal - dance performances demonstrated by talented students of HIBS.

HIBS Students have won Bronze Medal in Info-Matrix 2012 Competition in Romania

Info-Matrix is an international computer project competition, born from a desire to bring the world's best IT students together. The competition is not just about promoting professional excellence, it also serves to promote intercultural dialogue and cooperation, through the involvement of students and teachers from many different countries.Info-Matrix has support of the Romanian Ministry of Education Research Youths and Sports.The 10th edition, InfoMatrix 2012,was conducted in three phases during which projects selected and, ultimately, the best projects have been awarded.HIBS Students got HONORABLE MENTION in ISWEEEP

The International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering and Environment Project Olympiad (I-SWEEEP) 2012, with its Opening Ceremony on May 3, 2012 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, started in a breathtaking fashion.
More than 500 students from 68 countries and 44 states were the brightest stars of the Opening Ceremony.
Presented by David Paul, the meteorologist from KHOU 11, the night started with the mini concert by Sugar Land Band, consisting of the students of Harmony School of Science Sugar Land.
The Ceremony featured some dignitaries including Dr. Marshall Schott, Associate Vice President at the University of Houston, who made the opening remarks. Anthony Chase, the Chairman and the CEO of ChaseSource L.P., also had a keynote speech during the ceremony. Texas State Representative Sylvester Turner also addressed the audience and emphasized the importance of scientific advancements.
I-SWEEEP Opens its doors to the public on May 4, 2012

I-SWEEEP 2012 is just around the corner. Top high school researchers from all over the world will display their innovative ideas at George R. Brown Convention Center of Houston. Over 1000 participants will share the ideas, experience, and knowledge to promote maintaining global sustainability in near future.
For this purpose, 2 students from Horizon Schools attended the I-SWEEEP under supervision of Teacher Ahmet ONCU.We would like to say good luck for them.
